    Girls finding girls

Since Good Girls get socialized to sit around and wait for a Knight in Shining Armor to come by on his White Horse and Take Her Away, even once we've admitted the fact that it may be the *woman* of our dreams on that horse, we've still got a problem.

Somebody's got to make the first move. If I'm a woman interested in women, the odds are high that both women in question have been socialized to be a Good Girl. At least one of us is going to have to get past our socialization or we're going to both sit there waiting for the other to say something.

There's more variation *within* the genders than between them, and anybody can break the "who's going to make the first move" cycle. *You* can. Try it. Try it again. Try it a lot. Somebody's got to make the first move, and if it's you, you've just started looking more confident, more self-assured. That's *damned* attractive in my book.
