Hi, I found your website really interesting & liberating. I am
currently trying to decide for myself what I want in life - one
relationship, more than one relationship, relationships with
men/women/either, and it's all very confusing... I'm always hearing
about how we "ought to be this or ought to be that", that there's only
one way to live (prefereably straight and monogomous, or if you can't
help it then gay & monogomous. But "this isn't something you can
choose, bisexuality is not an option"). It's really refreshing to have
affirmation that you can just do what feels right for you and the
people close to you, be yourself, as long as it's all done honestly &
openly. Anyway, thanks for a great website.

Beautiful daughter, I check your website frequently, but I don't think
I've posted here since 1997! Where do the years go? You are
"wonder-full," loving, gorgeous, generous, and your dazzling smile
hasn't changed since you first flashed it at me in 1973. I love you.

I dated a woman a few years ago who gave me a LOT of crap about the whole "bi privilege" thing, mostly because she was angry and hurt that our relationship didn't work out (I was still figuring myself out, and dealing with a lot of familial pressures to either be gay or straight; they couldn't understand anything else). I've met a number of very "biphobic" or bi-bitter gays, and it's frustrating because I'm always ready to come to their defense, be it socially or politically. Curiously, my straight friends are much more understanding and respectful listeners than my gay friends have been. Anyone have similar experiences?

Your site was useful for me. I am just learning about polyamory now, and I seem to be the only one I know who's ever heard of it. I think it is important to accept people's lifestyle as their own personal choice. This survey is part of my independent study project on polyamory. The purpose is to get a better understanding of the lifestyle and those who practice it. I am eager to get a better perspective, and what better opinions then from those who are poly. If you are poly I would appreciate your time and consideration in filling it out http://www.zoomerang.com/survey.zgi?p=WEB2H2QP8Y

Hi. I have a cat named Sev, and I was wondering what the name means, if anything. I've heard a few explanations. Someone said it's Latin for 'freedom' or 'frisky'. This would make sense, considering the girl who named her (although the cat herself doesn't really exhibit these traits). Do you agree with that? Does it mean anything else? Thanks in advance for any help.
P.S. I searched your site for an answer, but I couldn't find any.

Can I just say that Americans don't have a clue about us Brits. We ran the country and spoke English before them. I was reading a news report the other day and I was shocked to read a report that said all English are fat, stupid and soft.
I mean we don't say things about Americans basically because we are not that sad and we don't care! Yes England is falling apart in terms of our leadership problems but as a nation we are hard working, honest and proud people.
Even if this message is deleted I just wanted to get it off my chest. It's pooring down with rain now and yet i'm going outside to do some building work because nothing gets me down.

great diary... I particularly liked your feminism section and the stuff on polyamorgy and sexuality. I'm sick of people who think that equality means being the same (and who use that as an excuse to say that equality is thus somehow unreasonable or impossible, because we're not all the same as each other...!); and sick of people who think that monogamy is the only healthy norm (when in most cases it seems to be based on jealousy, which is hardly the most healthy way to relate to people!). So, just wanted to say, great work!

I am a 35 yrold bi- female Just recently came out which caused my family to bail on me I am engaged to a wonderful man who is str but ...Loves me for who i am years i have spent telling half truths and not being alone with females because i didnt want to over step my lines and it was hard to not say the things i thought..One day I found that I needed to tell eveyone the truth I came out to my family friends and even my boss..I now walk around with few friends and no family they say it is just a sex thing and i am too wild..I raise seven children three mine four his and they are all aware that mom is BI not gay but BI witch has been hard for them also kids and parents i have found can be cruel....If peole would stop telling me it is ok to be gay and that i should not marry because i don't know what i am i think it would be easier for me ..They do not know I love my soon to be husband I just didn't want to marry him with some big secert in the way I wanted him to know everything and he loves me just the same and maybe more so as hard as it is I am out to the world and I never hide that fact from anyone It is hard and in rural USA they say there is no place for pepole like me and they maybe right or so I thought until i found this site. All new rules come into play when you are dealing with schools and children and i have been asked about this even from teachers and Have yet to say that I am not just to make it easy on them yes I am BI and I am proud of who I am all those peole who hide who they are be it gay or Str or trans or whatever I have almost lost my kids to their str father who did not know and it caused our devorce
and i have lost some very dear friends so i agree with what is written here If you can't be honest with the world then you have lost your rights ...
I do however wish that pepole in my area would extent a hand to those of us that are the same and offer me to a support group or a meeting to talk with others like myslef but as of yet i have only found pick up bars and gay bars(where i might add i am not welcome I dnot understand why i am not tryiong to pick uo anyone I am trying to be me)so if there are any gruoups in Northeast pa that would be nice enough to tell me where to find these groups PLEASE HELP

Your explanation about labels interested me, since my way of dealing with my own bisexuality and fear/distrust of monogamous relationships made me forcibly reject *all* labels, but what you said made a lot of sense. Many wonderful greeting from Munich, Germany!! I am very happy to have found your site, and was quite interested in many of the "stories" here. I am a "coming-in" bisexual; I have lived the last 10 years as a gay male, but in the past several months find myself becoming more and more attracted to women. Would you, or anyone reading this site, have any tips for a young, attractive and sporty man, looking to have his first sexual experience with a woman? Or perhaps a woman and a man?? I know, it may sound a bit strange, but this is how my "sexual story" is developing...and I seem to have a great deal of anxiety when it comes to the "final moment" with a woman. Also questions such as, what do women really want? Will I be able to satisfy her needs? Most bi-videos show a lot of f***ing but not so much tenderness and love between all of the partners. I personally believe that this is very important, no matter what type of relationship one is in. I would appreciate your comments, if you (all) happen to have the chance...Lots of Love, Happiness, and X-Mas presents for all!! Michael

As someone who's recognized his besexuality since the age of 21, but who only recently came out to his wife at his current age of 32, I find your essays and thoughts on bisexuality refreshing and enthralling. It's hard to reconcile the need for MOTOS attention with the MOTSS lifestyle that I've chosen, but then life is a battle on several fronts. Since coming out to my significant other, I've been obsessed with the topic of bisexuality, but I've learned two things (1) It's nothing to be ashamed of, it's as part of one's individual nature as liking a certain color or taste, and (2) Bi's are as capable of monogamy and committment to a PERSON rather than a gender as any memeber of the het or homo communities. I'm still dealing with my fascination with the subject, but your thoughts on the matter are awesome.

I love your website. I came to it through reading your recommendation list on Amazon for polyamory. I then read your recommendations for Wild Women and order one of those you put on your list.
There is something that really draws me to you. We seem to have a number of things in common and some of the same interest.
I too live in Seattle and frequent the Wet Spot. I am poly, kinky, and bi. I would love to talk with you sometime and have our favorite
drink, Coffee. Email me if you would care to have a cupa.
Your smitten admirer,

I typed "kinky poetry" into the search engine and found this site. I've been signing guestbooks like crazy to promote my boyfriend's alter ego's hilarious Create Uh Page but I respect you too much to subject you to such foolishness. Your poems are really, really good. I encourage you to submit your love poems to www.loveblender.com. I've been a "Blenderite" for the past two years. It's the only poetry site I've found that offers instant gratification. You submit a poem and it's posted on the Heart on Sleeve Corner. And there's a really positive creative community there.
...Love the "gift ideas" list! Too funny. I love colored fountain pens, too, and I'm also bigger on bottom and smaller on top. Oh, well. Richard Simmons can kiss my pleasantly plump ass.

Greetings!
I've been bisexual all my life, I thought everyone was the same
but that somewhere along the line you had to choose to be either
straight or gay. I didnt think I had the wardrobe or political
inclination to be gay but my hormones wouldnt let me be straight.
It took me a long time to realise that I am bisexual, it's just
the way I am, I cant choose to change that and society is the
one with the problems.
If the person who gave me this web address reads this, thank you
again!
