The first step in writing a manifesto is to penetrate the indoctrination that injustice is inevitable.

08/24/2002 Entry: burning man gear

no matter what projects I'm doing, no matter how long or short of a stay I'm planning, there's always a few particular staples I buy for Burning Man every year...

Many things I buy once, and then reuse over and over again each year. My camelbak, my tent, some costumes, etc.

Many things are nonperishable consumeables that I buy in bulk and then don't need to buy again for years. Like instant soup. I bought too much instant soup last year and I will be bringing the same unused packages next year. :)

Some things I do once, and then don't do again the next year. Some one-shot costumes I don't want to reprise, for instance.

Other things, no matter how much I buy, I find that I use up what's left over throughout the year. Every year I buy more cough drops, more batteries, and more film.

Nothing earthshattering about that. I just thought I'd mention that I find it interesting.

If you'll be on the playa (and haven't already left), I'm staying with eVille at 210 & Mainmast. And if you won't, I'll be back here in a little over a week.
