The first step in writing a manifesto is to penetrate the indoctrination that injustice is inevitable.

10/16/2001 Entry: and the rain comes...

Some quick notes: Winter weather. More baking. Redesigned the journal, a little. Travelling.

So, the rain's arrived. It's Seattle; I knew what I was getting into when I moved here, so I shouldn't complain, really. But I'm already pining for sunshine, and it's only been raining for two days. The sun was out for awhile this morning, and I got my hopes up...but by noon, the skies had opened up again.

Ethan requested cranberry orange bread yesterday, when I was in a baking mood. Perhaps this will be a winter of quick-breads, unless I get around to ordering the replacement paddle for my bread machine. The cranberry-orange bread turned out wonderfully; we're nearly through the first loaf already.

So, redesigned this journal...I haven't put this much thought into the way a web page looks in a long time. I'm sure I'll play with it some more as time goes on.

Ethan and I are heading to New York at the crack of dawn tomorrow morning to see his brother and some friends of mine. Should be fun.
