Catching up with posting some shots to the site from the last year. Again, some of these are up on Flickr, but I've felt a bit insecure not having a back up, or at least being able to present them as a nice album.
Just saw this amazing wall construction system called Beco WALLFORM on Grand Designs. You just build the walls with these lightweight polystyrene lego-like "bricks" and fill them with concrete. Then you end up with really strong, highly insulated walls. Amazing.

Due to a disaster after upgrading JAlbum, the tool I use for creating my photo albums, I've had a bit of a delay posting photos to this site. Hasn't stopped me on Flickr. Just this site.
I've finally found a cool replacement album template to show these shots of Kefalonia. It's in Flash, unfortunately, so I can't link to individual shots, but that's the price you pay for cool simplicity.
Anyway, this was a week long vacation on the island that's supposedly the home of Odysseus. It's spelt many ways (for example, also known as Cephalonia). I seem to have spelt it wrong anyway in a few places.
TV Cream's Top 100 Toys of the 70s and 80s is awesome. I recognize nearly everything here. Not sure if this is a UK centric list, though. I suspect so.

I was telling Shannon about Toasted Soldiers just the other day. Is this just a peculiarly English thing. Anyway, some obsessive has done the decent thing and developed a toastie soldier cutting machine. Perfect perferations every time.

So, to recap. 1,000 people died in New Orleans, not 10,000. The looting and violence was no worse then normal. And now the we get this: floodwaters not as toxic to humans as previously thought, study says.
This lack of accurate reporting at the time is a little disconcerting.

This is Sarah and Karl's new boy, Dexter.
It was at least 5 days after this that we first saw hi eyes. Here he is having a gurgle.
Here's a few seconds of Heidi and Shannon back-to-back at the Roman Baths in Bath.

The Million Dollar Homepage is just plain weird/wild. A 1000x1000 pixel page is being auctioned off at $1 a pixel (minimum purchase of 10x10 pixels) to do with as you will. So far the site has made $323,200. I'd be tempted, except $100 is too high a minimum for my tastes.

I'm not that opposed to in-game advertising, although this shot of a 40s era Godfather game with a street-corner Starbucks is a little too revisionist for my taste. Wonder if that's a drive-through.
