Travel
Future plans
I am heading to Brazil for three weeks this August. Leaving around
August
22nd or so. I will stay in Salvador, Bahia for at least a week of
this
time, perhaps more, playing capoeira with Mestre No,
and then travel a bunch around the country as well.
The Rotary District 5030 club has an annual trip abroad for community
leaders. It
looks pretty cool.
Places I want to get to before I die include
- Brazil this summer!
- Cuba Don't really know why. The romance of it all, perhaps.
- SE Asia: Thailand, Indonesia (Bali!), Vietnam
- Mexico
- Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica

- In June of 1999, I went to Sydney and Adelaide, Australia to
visit Jeff Michel
and to see Ian Weis and Ruth Beach finally get married, after all these
years.
- I wandered Europe the summer of 1998, with
my brother Luke for half the trip, and my friend Ada for half the
trip.
- In the summer of 1997, the Yale Alley Cats took me on
tour to Japan and Hong Kong. Then I went to Adelaide, South
Australia to
work for Motorola at
their Australian Software Centre. I had a blast, and lived with Ian Weis
and Ruth Beach, two lovely people.
- Summer of 1996 I went to Europe for six weeks with the Alley
Cats; we
hit 11 countries, had a blast, and came home on the Queen Elizabeth II.
- In the summer of 1995, my family took a trip to Paris for a
week, to celebrate my parents' 25th anniversary, and my mom's 50th
birthday.
