Hmm. Stop me if you've heard this one: so my girlfriend broke up with me
about two months ago, brutally and long distance. So, I'm geeking around
the web, and happen upon a link on the Oxygen network to Breakup Girl
(www.breakupgirl.net) a relationship advice site; they're running a
Valentine's Day (or anti-VDay) haiku contest. Oh, I think to myself, good
creative outlet for relationship angst. I enter a bunch of times, and
then forget about it. So then Valentine's Day, I get an email from Team
BreakupGirl. I won. They're giving me a Palm V.
I'm thinking of having a t-shirt made up that says "My girlfriend
broke up with me and all I got was this lousy personal digital assistant."
Every cloud has a silver lining and all that, but you never really expect it
to be so tangible, you know? All in all, a great parting gift for our
contestant; most people don't get a consolation prize for a relationship.

Here's my winning haiku:
Take some small issues,
bake for two months at high heat.
Relationship's done!
