Mezbians on the top of Rainier? In the summer of 2003, this much anticipated event might become reality. This list is for discussing and planning training and logistics of the climb. Even if you're not committed to trying for the top, we'd love to have you here to go hiking with us as we train. For those more serious, we'll be setting training goals and milestones so we know if we're on track. This includes both strength/endurance goals and knowledge/skill goals. Relevant skills include avalanche training, crevace rescue and self-arrest. Of course we'll talk about gear, dates, conditions, etc. It's also a great place to look for people to go on a not-so-easy hike with.
